Medical disclaimer
PetScored is not veterinary care.
PetScored scores dog food, cat food, supplements, and treats, explaining labels, nutrition and evidence data, ingredient flags, recall context, and source confidence. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure disease.
Use with care
Where a veterinarian belongs in the loop.
If your dog or cat has symptoms, a diagnosed condition, medication needs, abnormal lab work, rapid weight change, or a suspected food reaction, use veterinary guidance.
Veterinary therapeutic diets should be used with a veterinarian and should not be compared as ordinary maintenance foods.
Sensitivity flags describe common ingredient exposures. They do not prove that an ingredient is causing a reaction in an individual pet.
Med Reports. PetScored does not score medications. The Med Reports pages publish counts from the FDA adverse event record, which is a log of what people reported, not a register of verified findings and not a measure of risk. A report is not proof that a product caused anything, and because the record does not count how many animals were treated, nothing on those pages can tell you how likely a side effect is. Never start, stop, change or substitute a prescribed medication on the basis of anything published there. That is a decision for your veterinarian.
