Useful reasons

What we want to hear about

  1. 01

A score looks wrong to you.

Tell us which rule event you think fired incorrectly or the source confidence you'd label differently. Vague disagreement is hard to act on; specific rules and sources we can argue with.

  2. 02

There's a food you want us to score next.

Send the brand, the recipe name, the bag size, and a link to the manufacturer page. Bonus points for the AAFCO statement and the calorie content if you have them.

  3. 03

A source URL moved or a label changed.

Include the product page on PetScored, the old source link if you have it, the new source link, and the date you noticed. We re-capture when the data has actually moved.

  4. 04

You want to argue with the rubric.

Bring receipts. The rubric is public. Versioned changes get a public diff. If the argument is good, the changelog is where it ends up.

  5. 05

    You're a journalist or a researcher.

Press, citation requests, academic use of the methodology - same address. Same-day reply when the question is specific.

What we won’t reply to

Save us both the time

  • Ranking requests from brands or PR agencies.
  • Paid review pitches. We do not accept payment to score, re-score, or de-score a bag.
  • Medical questions about a specific dog. Talk to your vet - that's not what we are.

See how we stay honest for the longer version. The short version is: no manufacturer money, ever.
